Investments

The Company, as a supporting entity, made the medical equipment purchased as part of the investment process available free of charge to Medical Entities for which the Lodz Voivodeship Self-Government is the founding body.

In line with its business objectives, i.e., meeting the current needs of the Lodz Voivodeship community, and carrying out tasks entrusted to it by the Lodz Voivodeship Government, the Company carried out a number of investments in 2020–2021, consisting of the purchase of medical equipment, personal protective equipment, and construction works worth over PLN 151 million as part of the project "Preventing and combating SARS-CoV-2 infection and the spread of infectious disease caused by this virus in humans in the Lodz Voivodeship," implemented and financed by the Regional Operational Program for the Lodz Voivodeship for 2014–2020, Priority Axis VII: Infrastructure for Social Services, Measure VII.2: Healthcare Infrastructure, and the Lodz Voivodeship Budget.

2024

The company Inwestycje Medyczne Łódzkiego carried out proceedings as a result of which it spent an amount of over PLN 900,000 on the supply of medical equipment and renovation and construction investments for medical entities in the Łódź Voivodeship.

PROJECT COORDINATOR – Inwestycje Medyczne Łódzkie, as the Project Coordinator, prepared and conducted the public procurement procedure for EXECUTION OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS WITHIN THE PROJECT “THERMOMODERNIZATION OF THE BUILDINGS OF THE INDEPENDENT NICOLAUS COPERNICUS PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL IN PIOTRKÓW TRYBUNALSKI” and provided support in the process of supervising the proper execution of contracts with Contractors – the investment value amounted to PLN 15,465,030.75.

Year 2021

In 2021, under the Regional Program of European Funds and the Lodz Voivodeship Budget, the company made purchases worth over PLN 63 million for the supply of medical equipment and personal protective equipment to 35 healthcare entities in the Lodz Voivodeship.

Renovation and construction investments

Following the completion of the tender procedure in December 2020 for the award of a contract for the performance of construction works as part of the investment project "Reconstruction and change of use of part of the Specialist Hospital Outpatient Clinic into the Medical Rehabilitation Facility at the John Paul II Provincial Hospital in Bełchatów at 123 Czpliniecka Street", the Company completed the final acceptance of the works in October 2021. In March 2021, the contract award procedure was initiated and completed under the request for proposals procedure for the service of acting as an investor supervising construction works as part of the above-mentioned task:

Reconstruction and change of use of part of the Specialist Hospital Outpatient Clinic into the Medical Rehabilitation Center at the John Paul II Hospital in Bełchatów.

Medical Equipment

In 2020, under the Regional Programme of European Funds and the Budget of the Łódź Voivodeship, the company spent over PLN 87 million on the supply of medical equipment and personal protective equipment to 17 healthcare entities in the Łódź Voivodeship, most of which concerned the supply of medical equipment, including:

  • Ambulances (classic, neonatal, including with ECMO, bariatric) – 34 pcs.
  • Computed tomographs – 6 pcs. (including one in a container construction)
  • Respirators (stationary, with compressor/turbine, transport) – 125 pcs.
  • Cardiac monitors – 162 pcs. and 6 central patient monitoring systems
  • Intensive care/intensive therapy beds – 139 pcs.
  • Infusion/volume pumps – 635 pcs.
  • X-ray machines – 9 pcs.
  • Ultrasound machines – 5 pcs.
  • Chest compression systems – 15 pcs.
  • Defibrillators – 18 pcs.
  • Plasma sterilizer – 1 pc.
  • Endoscopic towers – 2 pcs.

In addition to equipment purchases, the Company concluded a number of agreements for the supply of personal protective equipment to warehouses in the Łódź Voivodeship, from where they were redistributed to healthcare entities according to demand.

Renovation and construction investments

In 2020, the company continued renovation and construction investments initiated in 2019 in medical facilities designated for modernization by the Łódź Voivodeship government.

During this time, the following investments were completed:

  • In February 2020, an investment was made at the Copernicus Independent Provincial Hospital in Piotrków Trybunalski consisting in the modernization of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Department.
  • In March 2020, at the Provincial Hospital named after Primate Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Sieradz, an investment was made involving the expansion and reconstruction of the Hospital named after Primate Cardinal Wyszyński in Sieradz for the needs of the Operating Theatre, Central Sterilization and Intensive Care Unit, along with the construction of the necessary technical infrastructure
    and land development – stage I.
  • In April 2020, at the Provincial Hospital named after Primate Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Sieradz, an investment was made involving the construction of an entrance to the hospital building from the courtyard, consisting of a platform, stairs and a ramp for disabled people in a steel structure with balustrades made of acid-resistant steel and a checkered steel surface.
  • In December 2020, an investment was made at the Stanisław Rybicki Provincial Hospital in Skierniewice involving the reconstruction of the electricity supply system.

Furthermore, on December 23, 2020, the Company concluded an agreement for the reconstruction and change of use of part of the Specialist Hospital Outpatient Clinic into the Medical Rehabilitation Center at the John Paul II Provincial Hospital in Bełchatów at 123 Czapliniecka Street.
